Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the LuaRex interface (the "Interface"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Interface. The Interface provides access to a decentralized protocol on the Ethereum blockchain that allows users to trade certain digital assets. The Interface is one, but not the only, means of accessing the protocol.

2. The Protocol

LuaRex is a decentralized exchange protocol deployed on the Ethereum blockchain. The protocol is comprised of open-source, self-executing smart contracts. No single entity controls the protocol. The Interface merely provides a convenient way to interact with the protocol, but you can interact with the protocol directly without the Interface.

3. Eligibility

By using the Interface, you represent and warrant that you:

  • Are at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
  • Are not a resident of, or located in, any jurisdiction where use of the Interface would be prohibited by applicable law or regulation.
  • Are not subject to any sanctions administered or enforced by any country or government or otherwise designated on any list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Will not use the Interface for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

4. Non-Custodial

The Interface is entirely non-custodial. We never take custody, possession, or control of your digital assets at any time. You are solely responsible for the custody and control of your digital assets. You are responsible for the security of your wallet and private keys. We cannot recover any assets if you lose access to your wallet.

5. No Financial Advice

Nothing on the Interface constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Trading digital assets carries significant risk. You should consult your own financial, legal, and tax advisors before making any trading decisions. The information provided on the Interface, including market data, prices, and charts, is provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as the basis for any trading decision.

6. Risks

By using the Interface and the protocol, you acknowledge and accept the following risks:

  • Smart contract risk: The protocol is built on smart contracts that may contain bugs, vulnerabilities, or behave unexpectedly. While the code is open-source and auditable, no software is guaranteed to be free of defects.
  • Market risk: Digital asset prices are volatile and can fluctuate significantly. You may lose some or all of the value of your assets.
  • Blockchain risk: Transactions on the Ethereum blockchain are irreversible. Network congestion, high gas fees, or chain reorganizations may affect your transactions.
  • Regulatory risk: The regulatory landscape for digital assets is evolving and uncertain. Changes in laws or regulations may affect your ability to use the Interface or the protocol.

7. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Use the Interface for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Attempt to manipulate markets or engage in wash trading.
  • Use the Interface to launder money or finance terrorism.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Interface or its infrastructure.
  • Use bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access the Interface in a way that degrades the experience for other users.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE INTERFACE AND THE PROTOCOL ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE INTERFACE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY CONTENT OR DATA AVAILABLE THROUGH THE INTERFACE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR DIGITAL ASSETS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE INTERFACE OR THE PROTOCOL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO USE THE INTERFACE, WHICH IS ZERO.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LuaRex, its contributors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Interface, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any applicable law.

11. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Interface. Your continued use of the Interface after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
